Lovely week spent at this site. Wardens were amazing. Very welcoming and extremely helpful offering advice about local walks and printed bus timetables. Will definitely consider visiting this site again as there is so much to do. Lots of walking available with a local bus service which links in with walks.
What a fantastic week, the sun shone all week which made a lovely site just perfect.
The Swiming pool was just the right temperature and very inviting. Couldn't fault the waredn all very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a very enjoyable week.
The wardens were very friendly and helpful, I wish they were all like this. The facilities and site cleanliness was immaculate. The pool (a nice bonus) could do with modernising and perhaps a cover. We travel to several French site who have made the investment recently and it has been a boon. Bus connections are failry good, a bonus for us motorhomers. But, a minor thing, so many flipping dogs!!!
Had another fab time at Looe, VERY helpful and friendly wardens, pool was lovely and clean and warm, toilets are always looked after, hard standing pitches roomy, site always looked clean and tidy. Wish all site wardens were as friendly as they are in Looe.
A very clean site. The staff were very friendly on our arrival. Showers etc very clean but showers lacked power and it took ages when washing long hair!! To be honest I think that they have squeezed in too many pitches, especially on the hard standings (where we were) the roadways are very narrow and so makes it very difficult to get caravan onto pitches especially if you are not lucky enough to have a electric mover fitted (we haven't) this is also made difficult due to the sloping nature of the pitches! We also struggled to get van level on the slopes many hand blocks but we didn't so be aware! Didn't use the pool so can't comment on that. Shop had basic supplies and caravan bits. Follow directions in book to get there and ignore your sat nav as advised ( very glad we did) as we looked at sat nav route during our stay, not caravan friendly lol !
Looe is beautiful great shops and places to eat and clean (dog free) beach, with a lovely harbour too. Site is a good base for exploring around Cornwall we went to both North and South coastal places.
Overall site score 7-8 out of 10 due to the pitch size (not the largest we've stayed on) and struggle to manoeuvre due to room.
Had a great 16 night stay, part with g'children and family, then on our own. Lovely clean site. G'Children loved the freedom of the site/park and the use of the pool. Our only concern was the lack of road directions by signs. The area we where on had traffic going both ways and we believe this was a one-way road but due to lack of signs/marking, car & bikes were going both ways. This should be painted on the roads as well. The 5 mph's should also have been displayed better. Its not always the children on their bikes speeding and not going the correct way!!! The signage for speed and direction needs to be updated on all caravan club sites. This would help all.
It was lovely having a bus stop now outside the site entrance as we used the bus most days due to the car park cost and we were on holiday. BUT we still had a great holiday. The Awayagain family.
We came here for a couple of days to chill out. Also the site is very handy for local buses to either Looe/Polperro in one direction and Plymouth in the other. The bus stop is right outside the site.
Lovely friendly, helpful staff.
Luckily the weather was good for us whilst we were here.
We stayed at looe site 2nd aug to 22nd aug.great location for days out super beaches.really good very clean site. toilets kept very clean by the excellant work from the wardens.wardens on site so helpful we had car trouble they helped us out with some tools to do the repairs.thank you to all the wardens on the site very freindly bunch well done ssee you next year
Brilliant
We stay for 8 nights, very friendly & helpful staff, a lovely clean site, we manage to get a pitch with a sea view, very scenic, very clean shower & toilet block as you would expect. A pleasant walk into the village of Looe.
We stayed here for 3 nights during our tour of the South West England and really enjoyed it. The facilities were clean and the site was well maintained. We found the assistant wardens very friendly and welcoming. We used the heated swimming pool even if it was mainly used by children. The site is just a 5 minute drive to the busy seaside resort of Looe with its lovely sandy beach, busy harbour and lots of individual shops and restaurants. We will definitely be back next year.
