Not really impressed

We stayed here for 1 week this August and thought on first impression the site looked lovely and it is kept lovely and clean. The pool only let's 40 people in which is fair enough but we wasn't even allowed to sit around the pool until space was available. Then mini golf £1.25 each everyone you want a game. Tennis £2 per person for an hour. I'm sure we have already paid to stay on the site with out all the extras these should be free the amount your charged to stay here.

Our Stay at Looe Site

Just had a longer stay at Looe site. Weather although a bit cold for summer was mostly dry. The wardens were lovely, friendly and very helpful and the site was all you expect from a caravan club site. The swimming pool was a little cold but then I am probably a bit of a wimp and weather conditions were a bit chilly anyway. My main criticisms are that it would be nice to have the pool open a bit later (it closed at 6pm although we were a few times asked to leave around 5.50pm). I think maybe 8pm would be better for people wishing to go out and come back for a swim a bit later. Also the location is great for Looe, Polperro etc. but if you like to visit other places in Cornwall you have lots of driving to get there on fairly busy roads. Lovely site however!

19 - 26th August

Had a very enjoyable stay ( our first time on this site - it won't be our last ) The wardens were pleasant and helpful. We found grass pitches rather cramped, made worse by people walking across pitch and between car and caravan to access toilet block. It may be worth forgoing a few pitches to make a dedicated path to toilet block. The wardens kept the facilities clean, unfortunately not all campers respected this and occasionally the gents toilets were left in a disgusting state.

Lovely site

We stayed here in the last week of July, we found the site clean and the wardens friendly and helpful.  We selected our pitch and within minutes of attempting to get on the pitch by ourselves the wardens arrived to help push us on (no motor movers sadly).  Whilst the pitches themselves are generous, the access isn't which means detaching from the car before siting the van.  The facilities were excellent, very clean showers which I didn't need to queue for once. A lovely little pool which kept the kids happy for hours. Crazy golf was fun for all, even the most competitive amongst us and the tennis courts were an added bonus, take your own rackets though as a family of four had to pay £8 to hire 4 rackets which makes it quite expensive.  The kids also loved the park and spent several hours there burning off any excess energy.  There is also an enclosed area to exercise the dogs which came in very handy.  We liked the site and area so much we're returning in a couple of weeks. I can thoroughly recommend the glass bottom boat tour and the adrenaline quarry as things to do, and if you're feeling energetic visit lactic bay, white sand and turquoise waters will make the climb worth it.

Good site

This is a good, clean and tidy site. We stayed 10 nights. Wardens very helpful and friendly. Looe is a great little village. Would recommend going crabbing, buy a crabbing net and use bacon! Didn't find the people on site very friendly in general like you get on smaller sites. We pitched up on the grass so can be cosy with the other caravans. It's missing a good old playing field as although it's got the facilities it does get very busy to have a good old kick about or throw a frisbee. Pool was a bit chilly as well, must of been the weather. It can be noisy but it does die down after 10pm.

Another great stay.

Bit late in reviewing Looe. We stayed from 16th July for 10 nights. As in previous years we had another fantastic stay. The Wardens are lovely & cant do enough to help if you have any problems. They also keep the site in a tip top condition. We always stay at the bottom of the site where it is much quieter. If staying by the play area it can be quite noisy but hey ho its kids enjoying their hols so to be expected. The swimming pool is lovely & of a good size. The shower & toilet blocks are nicely decorated & very clean. The local buses stop right outside the site gates & run until quite late. If anyone ever asks if we know of any sites in Cornwall to visit, Looe caravan club always gets recommended by us. Already counting down the days until we return next year with our friends on their first trip to there. Happy

Excellent site and wardens

We spent 9 nights at the Looe site with this being our first visit. This is an excellent site with great facilities and extremely helpful, knowledgeable & friendly wardens who are a credit to the caravan club. Yes the play area is a little noisy at times but then the children are not making noise around the rest of the site. If you don't have children find a pitch away from the play area. Parents however may find this useful being on a pitch close to the play area in order to keep an eye on their children. We look forward to returning to this site again next year.

Great site

We stayed at the bottom of the site on the last row. It was lovely and flat and overall very quiet and clean. The toilets and showers were good and a bus regularly if you didn't fancy a walk to the sea. Would stay there again.

A lovely site

This site is really well kept. The wardens do a wonderful job keeping it clean and were always happy of deal with all sorts of enquires. Although the pitches were nice and wide, the depth was a bit lacking with little room for manoeuvre. Also the layout of the pitches in the central section meant some people were able and clearly not bothered about, walking through other peoples pitches to get to where they wanted. A few more hard standing pitches would be nice. Good location and local bus service was very good. Nice beach 30 minutes walk away from the site. Would recommend

Looe Club site Aug 2015

Very good clean site , Wardens friendly & helpful enough. Kid's liked the pool & the site's facilities. Situated in a good handy location. One confusing thing was the fact that normally you are not allowed to arrive & pitch up before the stated time ( 13:00 this site ) without getting an ear bashing, Yet we noticed people looking for pitches & pitching up around the 10 / 11am mark. Quite surprised. Would recommend for a fab holiday.... Enjoy Cornwall !!
