Somewhat Quirky Site!

Our first ever stay at this site. Chosen because of its location near Leyburn. I suppose I would call the site Rustic as its not like the majority of Club sites. That is not a particularly bad thing. I quite liked the site but my wife wasn't sure. The site is set out in various areas with a varying number of pitches in each area, some on terraces. Most of the pitches are not very level. I don't think this will bother most caravanners but it is more of a problem for motorhomes. Whilst you can find a few decent sized pitches many of the are on the small side. The toilet block is old but clean and functional. One plus was the open grill motorhome waste point. Currently no site wide WiFi but I did find the 4G signal pretty good which allowed me to tether my phone for internet access. The TV signal was not too bad with the roof top aerial but we did experience picture break up at times.  There is no site shop. The Market Town of Leyburn is about a mile and half from the site. There is a bus service, which is fairly limited. However by the time you get to the bus stop you are almost half way to town. If heritage railways are your thing the Wensleydale Railway has a station as you enter Leyburn. The town has a nice Market Square and there are lots of cafes and pubs, plus a useful Co-Op supermarket.
