This site cannot be faulted. The location by the side of the River Wye was beautiful and the site is very well presented and cared for. The only reason I have scored peace and quiet as a 4 rather than 5 is that it is a family site. Those expecting isolation may not find it here during busy school holiday periods. That said it must score 5 as a family site and we personally do not have an issue with that. Kids can play safely. The facilities cannot be bettered, they are clean, well laid out, lovely hot showers and every function well catered for. The on site cafe/restaurant provides great breakfasts although we didn't try the evening meals there was a good menu and small unimposing but very adequate bar. the local walks to Mordiford and the area are very nice. the fishing on the river is great and I caught 4 lovely Barbel ranging from 3.5- 10lbs. it would be great if the fishing ''swims'' could be improved for access as the banks are very steep and slippery. I managed however and i am a hefty 60 year old so it can be done. Overall an excellent site that we will return to. thank's to all at Lucksall, well done it is a credit to you.
