Had not been to Lucksall before and thought it was a great starting point for our 5 week south west tour. On arrival it was raining and the warden kindly fetched our plan of the site and explained directions without our having to get out of the car. Lovely didn't get wet. Great start. Our stay was for two nights only but there is so much to explore around this area we will hopefully return for longer in the future. Showers/ loos clean and modern. The grounds spotless and location wonderful. Although  we had mixed weather there are walks locally(although a little muddy) for dogs just outside the site. It is a busy main road but the path is away from the edge till you reach the path to the forest walk opposite the site. Staff helpful, lovely place. Will return.
