We have been here many times now, and always find our stay an enjoyable one (even during inclement weather). The site is well maintained with friendly wardens. Some visitors seem to be of the "walk past you with head down brigade", but then that's their problem. Most others are very sociable indeed! Visiting the Gorge is a must if you are able to, and walking on Dartmoor doesn't need to be described here. The Castle Inn allows dogs into the bar area, but not children (even well behaved ones) - although there is a back room and beer garden that allows these small people!!!! We will be back again soon.
