Probably great for families but ......

Visited this site during August. First impressions were good - friendly wardens, facilities nice and clean, nice walk into local village. However, I have to agree with previous reviews, regarding a total lack of peace & quiet & privacy. Dogs were barking constantly, and people thought nothing of walking straight across our pitch (with & without dogs). This is also the first c.c site I have attended where the parking next to the peg regulation was often ignored. Perhaps we were just unlucky, and I imagine that outside of school holidays, the site is probably different again, although I doubt that we will be returning.

Huge site bordered by another huge site

Stayed here for two nights in mid August 2015 - this is a BIG site with another Caravan and Camping Club site next door. Nice walk into village and lovely pub, also great walking in Malverns and days out in places like Ledbury which are a short drive away. Facilities were clean and good, quite a lot of uncontrolled dog barking so not really quiet and peaceful. Wooded dog walk with a few uncollected poos to stand in at night. We also had a really rude neighbour next door but that was not the club's problem.

Stay too short

Excellent site with delightful backdrop and well designed facilities.  Well placed for walking and visits to many places of interest.  Easy access to good selection of eateries

Yet another great stay

We have been here many times. This time we took our grandchildren, not realising that it would cost us 1p per child per night. Talk about deal of the year. Great welcome, clean site, took a hard core pitch on the top level but wished we had gone down to the lower level as there is a better view of the Malverns ( clouds permitting). Plenty of space for children. We enjoyed a stimulating game of draughts, located near reception. I really do wish that those people pulling caravans around the site could just see what happens to the back of the caravan when you go over a speed bump too quickly. From the noises coming from within caravans, it would not surprise me if crockery had not been broken. Slow down!!!! Would we go back, yes we would and will.

Great stopover

We stayed here to swap over our grandchildren.  The site is very conveniently located just 10 miles from the M5.  Nice play park for the children, great views, clean facilities as usual on a caravan club site.  The wardens are excellent and all in all a great place to stop.  One day we will explore the local area when we have more time.  We did walk into Hanley Swan which was a gentle stroll that had a local shop, post office and pub - no review as we did not use them. I am sure we will be back - we have visited the site three times now as one night stopovers.

Lovely site.

This is a well laid out, nicely landscaped site with spacious pitches that are not too close together. The toilets were immaculate as you would expect from a club site and the little dog walk in the woods was charming. The little village of Hanley Swan a short stroll away was very picturesque. We stopped for a drink at The Swan which looked to be a lovely restaurant but chose to eat at the Bluebell a few miles away which although just a budget Marstons house, was dog friendly and good value for money. We only used the site as a one night stopover, so can't comment on what it would be like for a longer stay but for our purposes it was excellent.

Great Week

Arrived at Malvern Hills to be greeted by friendly wardens. There was plenty of pitches to choose from and we opted for a hard standing pitch which was certainly of a good size to fulfil our needs. Car Caravan and Awning. The facilities were spotless the showers good and plenty of hot water. The surrounding are was good as was the visit to Croome National trust not too far away. Overall great site and will visit again.

Smashing

Spotlessly clean facilities, friendly welcome and a large site that offers a variety of pitches - near the playground, near the loos, in the shade, views over the hills - you get the picture.  A great location for visiting the Malverns and surrounding area. The local pub has a nice beer garden for sunny evenings and there is a pavement all the way so no walking on the road necessary. If you want to climb something other than hills then visit Worcester Cathedral and climb the 200 or so steps to the roof. Stunning views and you can check out the walking route to the Diglis Basin (a short and easy stroll) where you can see boats going into the Birmingham canal. There is a canal boat there that doubles up as a cafe (though it was closed for their annual holiday when we were there).  Upton upon Severn is a pretty little place with plenty of cafes. A 600 meter walk will take you to the cholera burial ground. Not a lot to see it's true, but a fascinating piece of local history. And Tewkesbury is well worth a visit too. The Abbey is beautiful and we had an excellent lunch in the Bay Tree restaurant just opposite. They have a small mediterranean garden out back which is nice for an al fresco coffee or meal. And a short walk down to the river will allow you to watch the boats going through the locks onto the Avon navigation - a relaxing way to while away a lazy afternoon.  There is a CC site in Tewkesbury which we went to look at (well, you have to look don't you) It was extremely busy on the day we visited, and though it is handy for the town and all it's facilities, we were very happy to have chosen chosen Malvern as our base. We will be back.
