Warm welcome.

Lovely welcome from staff who were very helpful. Able to look at site first before deciding best pitch for yourself. Excellent dog walk just off site. Village of Killin is really quaint and the falls of Dochart are amazing. Choice of eateries nearby.

Nice site but over priced

A very nice site, good facilities, well maintained, etc but why nearly £27 per night for two people with wi-fi an extra £2.50 on top of this? (plus CC membership fee of course). No complaints about the site itself but I've been to many sites of a similar standard which are £20- £24 per night including free wi-fi. The river next to the site is beautiful but deep and I would worry if I had children. Excellent dog walk adjacent to the entrance.

Great site

This is a lovely site, on the edge of a quaint village. Beautiful scenery in surrounding area.  Wardens are very friendly and helpful. Little noise from road but can cope with it.

Excellent site.

This has to one of the best sites we have ever used. Facilities and grounds were immaculate. Staff were brilliant, very friendly and helpful. Many thanks, Fraser and Anna.

Great site

We returned to this site for 2 nights. Lovely setting by a river with good walks. We walked up to Loch Tay, which is so beautiful and we also walked up to the falls and then went to see the stone circle that had been mentioned to us by the barman in the pub that is located just by the site entrance. We had a meal there the first night and afraid to say I wouldn't recommend it. The campsite is quiet and staff friendly. My only negative would be that I wish we had been told before we chose our pitch that only digital radio was available as if we'd known we would have chosen a pitch with an aerial socket. Apart from that no complaints at all. We'd certainly return for a third visit at some time.

Exploring Killin

Stayed on this site for a couple of nights, quite busy but quiet and peaceful all the same. Wardens very friendly and helpful, toilet block very clean and there is a drying room which is great for wet boots and gear after a day on the hills. A great choice of walks for all levels, some directly from the campsite. The Crannog Centre is worth a visit and there is a good choice of places to eat in and around Killin. Will definitely return.

Great area

We have been wanting to visit here for some time and eventually managed it a few weeks ago.  Well kept site, clean toilets with great showers and very helpful wardens. TV reception was ok, sometimes better than others. Site was pretty busy over the three days we stayed, even if the weather was a bit damp. Good walking and cycling straight from the site with several local hotels, restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Another mention for "Over the T Cup", their tea for two is a great price and was rather filling!! The local Co-op is very well stocked with fresh food and all the other basics.  Highlight for us was an evening walk up to Loch Tay (over the bridge, past the graveyard), the view looking up the Loch was fantastic.

June 2016

Excellent site for stopover on way back to Glasgow. The site was fully booked when we stayed and the Killin 2016 music festival was on but you wouldn't have known it as no additional noise or traffic. Good weather helped and a must is a visit to Loch Tay and the Crannog centre....a really good visitor attraction and well worth the ride down Loch Tay. Our last stop in a Caravan Club site on a two week holiday and I must say that the sites have all been excellent and well worth joining the club before we went. Well done Caravan Club!

Return visit to Killin

It is many years since our last visit to Killin, but our first to this club site in Killin. Very interesting village with good walks & cycling from the site, also trout fishing available on the adjacent river.

Oh dear

Maragowan is a lovely site in beautiful surroundings. The wardens are friendly and helpful, and keep the site and facilities in excellent condition. All the attributes which we have come to enjoy and expect when staying at club sites.
