Disappointing
We stayed at this site over 2019 Easter weekend. The site is very open and the pitches are very small. Upon parking on the pitch, and even though I was parked right on the peg, the caravans next to me were uncomfortably close (they were parked right on their pegs too). Once I put up my awning there was no room for me to park my car. I had to leave it right in front of the caravan. There was lots of music noise from other vans and loud talking into the early hours from people drinking outside their vans. Not what you would expect from a club site. There is also some sort of kennels closeby as there was lots of loud dog barking throughout the day and night. The grass was quite long and clearly hadn't been cut for some time. On a good note the toilets and showers were very clean and well maintained. The stand in staff were very pleasant but were clearly not caravaners themselves and weren't aware of the club standards (not their fault). We would not recommend this site and will not be returning.
I have read the other reviews and viewed the pictures of the site off the club website and it was clearly a different place last year. I understand that they do have a staffing issue at the moment and have remapped the pitches. They've squeezed too many pitches in and it isn't as spacious as the photos depict. It would be advantageous if the Caravan and Motorhome Club undertook a spot check of this site.
