The site uses a card swipe system - only one card is supplied and it is needed for everything- even the dish wash and toilet disposal. Why? Most irritating. The door into the dish wash is difficult to open, there are 3 sinks in a small space and it is very cramped. The showers/toilets are clean, but have the dreaded push buttons. The temperature is pre set and was not really warm enough for our October visit. There were only 2 showers in use, which meant queuing. There are no privacy cubicles, just a row of communal wash basins. The push button taps have a fine spray of luke warm water and it takes ages to fill a small basin. The lights are on timer, which is not long enough, in the gents shower was plunged into darkness numerous times and needed to open door to re activate. Depending on your pitch, it can be a considerable distance from the facilities. The pitches are in regimented rows and very close together. Although hard standing, there is a strip of grass in front of each unit that you have to walk and drive over to reach your unit. Large puddles collect on the roadway after any rain that you have to paddle through to reach the facilities. The site is poster mad- 21 on the board by the ladies, 21 by the gents and more in the dish wash. Mostly rules and mostly unnecessary. On arrival, we were given a large "Welcome" folder. However, it contained mostly rules and regs. Any useful information could have been printed on a small leaflet. The site has a very large number of statics, which you have to drive or walk through to reach the touring area. It is a very steep walk up to Harlech, which is a small place and rather run down. Not worth the steep climb, unless to visit the castle ruins. We could not recommend this site and would not visit again.

Thank you for your honest review - we have been to many sights where people only give what they think are positive points only to be very disappointed when we arrive to often find the bad outweigh the good. Thanks again  - we shall carrying on looking....

A totally unjust review of this site , most of the comments made can not be disputed but are made out to be negatives ,.....yes you do need a card to enter the site  ,.......this is not a problem for everyone else , ....yes it is a steep climb up to the castle , ....it was built on a hill top for that reason , ......and when on site and you have to look up at it , it tend''s to give the game away .......it''s on top of a hill , figure it out for yourself before you set off, ......this is a very good site ....I would recommend it

Some people will always find something to moan about! - but then again, you cannot please all of the people, all of the time.  Believe me, I am very picky - the facilities of this site are great - I love it and so do my husband and 5 year old son.  The walk from the furthest pitch to the spotless facilities takes all of 2 minutes, even for me with a bowlful of dirty dishes! As for the comment about numerous  "posters", it is a Noticeboard and, as such, is to inform people of site rules and notifications (which are basically common sense, to ensure the comfort and happiness of ALL guests), together with abundant information for the surrounding areas and attractions.  Anyone who does appreciate a well run site, where the pitches and the site itself are kept immaculate, please feel free to take a look yourselves!  Oh, and we have just booked again for this year.  Enough said, really!

The rules and regulations are indeed common sense so why the need for them !

Probably because 'common sense' is not as common as the name implies

As ever it seems that if someone gives an opinion they get shot down. There are comments that are clearly personal to the poster, such as the 'steep; walk but info such as there being no privacy cubicles is very useful-that is a complete non starter for my wife.

Add in the 'limited' facilities available and we would not be likely to visit.

Other comments re pitches being regimented could apply to almost all club sites and maybe the proliferation of notices, something that I dislike, is linked to this being a commercial site operating as an AS?

Whatever, its the OPs opinion and whilst others may disagree that doesn't make it wrong-just a different opinion.
