Good for families

Peaceful

We spent three nights at Moorhampton just as it was opening for the 2018 season so it was fairly quiet. The wardens were really pleasant and helpful and the facilities absolutely spotless. I wouldn't think it the best site for families due to the lack of play equipment and space to keep them occupied, but for adults or a brief stop over it is a lovely quiet retreat. The main sound at night was a noisy owl! We had a pitch with a fantastic view towards the Brecon Beacons. As previous reviews have mentioned it is a narrow site and the larger outfits can only fit on a few of the pitches. Good stopping off point for visiting Hereford, Leominster, Ludlow, Hay on Wye and of course doing the black and white trail.
