We liked the natural flat grass setting of the top field. Although the facility block is not of the usual Club standard, we understand that it is being redeveloped from October onwards. When development occurs we hope that the centre grass area is retained. (We assume that some hard standings will be added.) Be aware: the information in the "Sites Directory" about the bus stop being "200 metres away" is untrue. It is approximately a four minutes walk from the site entrance to the bus stop for Winchester and across two roads, with the return bus stop being a few hundred yards nearer. This was no problem for us but for some people this misinformation may be crucial. We found it a good base for visiting Winchester which is why we went.
