A good site.

A good site, however there was a problem with the toilet disposal point as there was a blockage.  If anyone is a light sleeper they should not park near the toilet blocks as the plant room machinery is noisy at night.

Best of Both Worlds

We probably struck gold first time by choosing to stay at this site. We have recently go back into caravanning now the kids have grown up. Staying here has confirmed all we like about caravanning. Great location, great facilities and friendly staff and neighbours.  The location gives us the option of beach and/or forest walks with our 2 small dogs. They love it here also. There are beautiful villages close by, Burley and bransgore that have local shops, pubs and restaurants plus the large store as you drive into Christchurch means you can pick up any provisions you need on arrival. Plenty a good quality take away food places area also available within a 10/15 drive. Dogs are welcome and many visitors bring their loved pooches. The dog walking areas are great. Pitches are generous and services never far away. My only gripe would be the wifi signal is not great. This is not an easy one to solve though but the site could benefit from stronger wifi boosters and/or more boosting stations so coverage around the site is better. Like many people nowadays I rely on wifi for so much and this is the way I watch TV also. Not important to many I accept but it is to me. That said I have visited this site 3 times already this summer and will get in at least one or two more before the end of the season. Highly recommended.

September break

Very helpful wardens. Great for cycling. Used Club/ferry offer to visit IOW as a day tripper. Lots to see and do in local area.

Love this site so much.

This is the 3rd year in a row that we have stayed at this site and it gets better every year. Perfect location for find fantastic areas of the new forest. You must try the food at the Crown pub in Bransgore, cant fault it. Horse riding in the forest from Burly Manor Stables is a must. Although the site was busy it wasn't too much to bear and our 11 year old daughter loves meeting new friends every year (some from last year too). All the staff are great and the whole site kept clean and tidy. Thank you for a great holiday and we will see you again next year.

Lovely

This was the first time we have been on a Caravan Club site.  It was easy to book and reserve a pitch.  Payment when we turned up.  We could choose are own pitch, but due to bank holiday and school holiday we were limited as it was full.  But loved the pitch we had. Even though it was full, it was still nice and peaceful.  Perfect base for are cycle rides. Lovely clean toilet blocks. Enough to go round and no waiting.  We will be returning!!

Will definitely return!

A fantastic site! The wardens are really friendly and helpful and keep the facilities in excellent condition. The dog walks are fantastic and there is a super play area which is far enough away from the pitches so that the children are able to play freely and safely without disturbing others.

A good site, but be careful where you pitch

This is a very good site with a lot of pitches (and hence car and van movement). The pitches are a little tight and on some I can't see how it is possible to maintain the 3m gap between the car and the neighbours awning. We chose a pitch in the 230's which has the advantage of being much more spaced out (we have a VW T5 & long awning) but with the downside of considerable road noise from the road over the fence (which is the continuation of the one you arrive on). This road is busy and by our pitch there is a cattle grid that generates a lot of noise. So between a rock and hard place... Speeding is an issue on site as others have pointed out.. Someone will get hurt if caravans travel at 20-25 mph around the place. The layout of the site means that the traffic gets segregated at the entrance (Left or right) but the one way system can take you rather unnecessarily past other pitches. Facilities are excellent lots and lots of showers and all very clean (note: some showers were closed down for the winter season as we left). This is a good site but watch your kids if they are playing near the road. Would recommend

Tight Pitches

The pitch that we were on (No.113) service pitch was cramped, from the edge of the hard standing  to the next pitch which is on grass was within 2 feet of us, with a view of the next doors car, so kept awning curtains pulled. The area of which we were pitched in, all the pitches are mixed and could have been laid out better, compared to other areas which have a lot more space and made it less intrusive. As ever the wardens keep the site spotless and are extremely friendly, apart from one. We would like to visit again, but not sure if we would use a service pitch. As ever like all sites not everyone adheres to the 5 mph limit on site, the club needs to address this as someone is going to get seriously injured
