We had a very enjoyable and peaceful 6 night stay on this site. It is a lovely, beautifully maintained site with an abundance of flower tubs and baskets. The wardens are super friendly and helpful and had a sale of second caravan accessories while we were there one afternoon. A pizza van comes round on a Wednesday and highly recommend giving this a try - they are freshly wood fire baked and delicious. The toilets and showers were kept spotlessly clean and there are two toilets available for use when cleaning is taking place. It was a very hot week but we had a pitch up against the hedge at the back of the site so got the shade for most of the day which was very welcome. There are plentiful water, waste areas. All the pitches are well kept with regular mowing. The area is beautiful and we particularly recommend a walk to Ludham down to the quay where we discovered an artisan bakery just down a lane from the quay (signposted). We bought a couple of Portuguese tarts and they were the best we have tasted in the UK! Also recommend the circular walk to St Benets Abbey just down the road from the site and a boat trip on the Mississippi river boat starting at Horning - the commentary is really entertaining and informative. You go past Arthur Ransom's house and some very expensive properties on the banks of the river. You can hire bikes from Bewilderwood just down the road for £20 for a day or £17 for half a day and cycle to a disused railway track for safe offroad cycling and visit a tea room on the route. The only 'downside' is that there is very poor phone connectivity in the area and therefore quite a few places don't take cards (including the boat and the fishmonger in Cromer) so you will need some cash on you just in case. We can't recommend this site highly enough and will definitely be returning as we didn't want to leave!
