Peace and Birdsong

We spent a couple of nights here at Easter with our two dogs. The site has two woodland dog walking areas which are a pleasure to walk through. The pitches are spacious and well maintained and there is a small crazy golf course for those with children. Wardens were very friendly and hardworking. A lovely peaceful site which we will definitely return to.

peace and quite and doggie heaven

Just returned home from a six night stay at the north yorkshire moors site ( formerly low moor) the name change has not altered the site still a haven of peace and quite. Clean and tidy with well maintained pitches and friendly wardens. even though there is no toilet block it still gets a 5star from me for facilities as the facilities that are provided are spotless and the site well maintained. Take your pick of walks from the sites, a stroll down to may beck, breakfast at falling foss café, ( superb) or a hike across the moors to fylingdales or robin hoods bay, the choices are endless. with decent shops in nearby Whitby I feel it is the ideal site for a peaceful break away and will return again( I have already visited the site more than 20 times) highly recommended

an oasis of peace and quiet.

we have been visiting this site for some twenty years now and there has been very little or no change and that's the way we like it the only traffic noise you hear is the site traffic.the only reason i have marked three for cleanliness and facilities is because there are no facilities to score but i am sure if there were they would get top marks, all in all a lovely site and i am sure everyone has all the facilities they need in their caravans.

Favourite of ours

We visit this site regularly and are always there when the site opens each year and have just returned. A lot of work has been done on the hard standings and the site looks really good with a lovely display of flowering tubs outside reception. The new wardens are very friendly and helpful. This site is great if you want peace and quiet and to see squirrels and hares darting around and an array of birds feeding. (Re other reviews) ... we have never experienced noisy dogs or lots of them in the 10 years we have been visiting. Previous reviews make it sound like Battersea Dogs Home!! It's not. It probably isn't the best site for families as there's not much for children to do or any toilets/shower blocks, which is why we like it. It's a great location for walkers like us and central for getting to various places in the area. The Tea Gardens at Falling Foss are a must to visit whilst you're around. Can't wait to go back.
