so peaceful

What a lovely peaceful site.  So pretty by the river, though we were plagued by mozzies.  No facilities which didnt matter but the only problem was you would need a car to get anywhere.  A reasonable dog walk to Nunnykirk school and back, but that was it.  Nice to stay overnight especially in a motorhome.

Quiet stay at Nunnykirks

Lovely peaceful site wardens very helpful and kind they reserved a plot for us as we were staying for 21 days. You really do feel cut off here no wifi and no mobile signal and the BT telephone on site did not work But it is a lovely site Only downsides to this site - you need to use a car to go anywhere and although there is a dog walk just outside the site its not very long. On the plus side we saw a red squirrel, greater spot woodpecker, nut hatch, tree creeper and willow tit not to mention a few deer all from our caravan window   like having our own private luxury hide

Testing our new van

We stayed 3 nights - June 5,6,7 to test out our new Elddis Xplore 435, awning and BBQ. First time on this site and were very pleased. The 3 separate areas give the site a smaller 'feel' and we liked that. The whole site was well tended with well clipped grass and spotless water / service points. The site team were great and we especially appreciated the help in resolving an electrical problem.  The location is quite remote, needing a 15 minute drive to Rothbury for a meal ... not a huge problem but a walkable pub would have been nice. All-in-all a lovely site and we would certainly return

cheaper site with high visit value

bottom end price site but with high visit value. The new wardens are of the highest quality and on hand to help. If this site had full facilities it would always be fully booked.

Jewel in the Crown

Nunnykirk is a fantastic site if you enjoy a peaceful environment. If you haven't tried it yet don't hesitate just book, you'll not be disappointed. Loads to do in the area, countryside and the fabulous Northumbrian coast not too far away. We don't really want to let everyone know about the site as its one of our favourites! If you like bird watching take a feeder and the birds will come to you, we saw a hare, a deer in the field and a hedgehog just outside our door one evening. Just sooooo gorgeous!

Peace perfect peace.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Nunnykirk site. Being out in the wilds of Northumberland it is quiet and tranquil with a river running right through the middle of the site. Plenty of wildlife to see and a brilliant dog walk enjoyed by our two Irish Setters followed by a paddle in the river to clean off. The weather was sunny and warm, which of course helped make this break just perfect. We'll be back soon.
