What a fantastic change!

We almost didn't book Nunnykirk this year following a miserable visit in September last year when we found ourselves pitched in a bog! Last year's wardens were less than helpful, no cheery welcome or advice on which pitches to stay clear of, it made for a stressful time. However,we decided to give it another try and wow! what a difference. This year's wardens were fantastic. Warm welcome, lots of advice regarding pitches, plus all of the basics in the small office, should you run out of something. The site was slightly unkempt due the tractor / mower being out of commission but as soon as it came back it was put to good use. All in all, the wardens should receive a reward for being constantly upbeat and professional. Nunnykirk is a lovely quiet site, great for exploring the north east or just relaxing on site with a good book. If there is one criticism, it would be about dogs being allowed to bark seemingly for ages (although it was probably only a few minutes each time). Other members have commented on this so it must be a regular occurrence. Anyway, to sum up, lovely site, lovely wardens, lovely location, we'll be back again next year.
