Beautiful site, But .........

This site is in a quiet and idyllic location. It is in a beautiful setting bounded by trees and streams. There is no toilet or washing facilities but there is a very good walk adjacent to the site. We had a seasonal pitch for 2023 and we met some very nice and friendly people during the season. Generally, we really enjoyed our stay. However, the site is a mess, the grassed areas was kept far too long, and the streams which could be one of the sites main features are completely hidden from sight by overgrown weeds and knee high grass. The site entrance is a disgrace and there are also areas of knee-high grass and weeds that were referred to as biodiversity areas by the Wardens. They were supposed to be for wildflowers but are again just a mess. Most people complained about the state of the site. I have read reviews that say the Wardens are friendly and helpful, they absolutely weren’t. They had very poor people skills and seemed determined to upset everyone by their belligerent attitude. I can only think that these reviews were referring to the Relief Wardens who were genuinely lovely, friendly people who the full-time Wardens could have learned much from.
