Beautiful location but steep site

I stayed here for 3 nights as a solo motorhomer and wheelchair user. I knew the site would be challenging but I chose it because it was close to where I needed to be. Most of the pitches are sloping and need chocks but the accessible pitch was level enough not to need them. Getting around the site was hard work. The main path up to reception has a particularly steep bit. I avoided that by taking the side path past the motorhome service point. This was a little further but less steep. The views from the site are stunning, and being the east coast, perfect for sunrises. There is a nice wide path that goes along the cliff tops towards Whitley Bay. This eventually goes downhill but there was plenty of level path to walk my assistance dog. I found this a good location for visiting Newcastle-upon-Tyne. It was about a 20 min drive to the north of the city on mostly very good roads. The Delaval Arms is just above the site entrance. Wheelchair access is round the back through the car park, but you can only sit outdoors as there are steps into the bars. Food was great though and there is an accessible toilet.
