Stunning views
Amazing views of the coast and St Mary's lighthouse, facilities and wardens good. Easy walk out to island and lots of seals and birds to be seen. Whitley Bay and Blythe Town centres are not really worth visiting as a bit run down. Newcastle easy on the very regular buses. Levelling blocks are a must and site isn't great if you're not active but the views alone make it well worth visiting. The pub is also great for food.
