A super hot week in Wales

We were returning for our third visit to Pandy. We were lucky enough to be there on the hottest week of the year in July and parked on the only hard standing which had tree shade over the lunch period for which we became extremely grateful, Despite the fact that the silver birch trees suddenly decided to shed their leaves and seeds in great clouds through our open roof hatches. I see that others have complained about the trains - yes they do pass quite frequently but they were never a problem and we both slept extremely well. I remember observing that the nearby main road carried very little traffic - so again - no problems with road noise that I can recall. As Pandy almost falls outside the Welsh border, you can use an English bus pass to Hereford - but not into Abergavenny. Another plus for us was the fact that despite it being the start of the school holidays, very few children were in evidence (not a lot for them on site and no local beaches) So it was virtually an 'adults only' site.
