A very nice stay

We visited in late May/June after an earlier cancelled trip. It's easy to fine and in a good central spot for sightseeing. Very clean and well maintained with very pleasant and helpful wardens. Really don't worry about the railway - there are very few trains and they are hardly disturbing. We backed on to the river and enjoyed the sound of rushing water. However, if you want evening sun for your g&t's, park in the middle of the site because the trees obscure the sun later in the day if you are around the outside. Lots of places to visit from this site but one thing that we noticed. Although there are lots of footpaths around this site, I don't think the landowners are very keen on walker because we found some signs turned round and one or two broken off and thrown into bushes. Clearly the local footpath officer doesn't walk them very often. But if you can find your way up onto the Offa's Dyke path, the views are fantastic. A lovely stay (and very nice weather too!)
