We arrived at this site at the stroke of 8pm on Friday 10 June to stay until Sunday morning, having had a really fraught drive in heavy traffic; we were quite prepared to find the barriers locked against us, but discovered there was another 'van in front of us, so we were allowed in. However, the male warden was surly, sullen and taciturn - we were not made to feel at all welcome. He told us that we would have to go to reception at 9:30 on Saturday morning to pay for our pitch. My partner duly paid up & the lady there was really friendly & very helpful. Later that morning, the male warden came by our 'van & began to pull bits of greenery off the hedgerow for no apparent reason - I looked at him & smiled, but he just scowled & turned away, ignoring us completely. It is a lovely little site, but one I think we won't visit again in a hurry until the male warden has a charisma makeover.
