Pembrey country park

We have been to this site twice now and staff are friendly lots of things to do around the area. The site is always very busy when we’ve visited. My only disappointment was that I was waiting by the office for my son to to visit us for only an hour and was told by the warden not to use the key fob to let him in as the park was very busy and too many children on the site and wanted to keep cars to a minimum so I was told he had to park about half a mile outside of the campsite which was fair enough,, however whilst I was waiting another vehicle turned up and used the key fob to allow the vehicle in to visit which the warden saw , this car stayed overnight on the pitch next to us so there was a car then caravan then awning and then the second car so there was not enough gap between our awning and the breaking fire regulations. So the warden needs to use one rule for everyone.

The people with the extra car were actually staying in the caravan and not visiting. They had paid £2 per night for the extra car. This car was parked directly in front of the other car so not breaking any fire regs. At Pembrey we do have numerous day visitors and we are unable to allow all their cars on site. We do have a small visitor car park however if this is full visitors are asked to use the pay and display car park which is a 5 minute stroll just outside the site.

I wish I had taken a photo of the pitch because the car wasn’t parked behind the other car. It was clearly parked one by the side of the other caravan awning and one by the side or our awning. Thus no room to walk around our awning.
