We'll Definitely be Back!

We have just returned from a two week holiday at this site and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. I would say that it has been my favourite holiday in the two years since we purchased our caravan. We chose pitch 50, which was hard-standing, surrounded by lots of grassed area and trees - it was like having a garden around us. We have three children aged 14, 12 and 7. They all made lots of friends immediately, cycling and scooting around. It's about a twenty minute walk to a lovely, sandy and safe beach (although there were a lot of Portuguese Man of War jelly fish on our last day!). The beach is also perfectly firm for a bike ride up to a number of boat wrecks. Cycle route 4 provides great views out over the bay and over the salt marshes. We visited the Botanic Gardens of Wales which is a half hour drive from the site; so much to see and lots of different walking trails. The nearby town of Llanelli is a short drive away and has a surprisingly vast choice of supermarkets - Tesco, Asda, Lidl and Aldi. If you can't be bothered to go and do a big shop, there are two vans which visit the site on a daily basis, selling milk, bread, cakes, pies etc. Both announce their arrival by tooting their horns as they progress around the campsite, so don't expect a lay-in past 9:30am! I would agree with some of the other reviews that the toilet block could do with a re-vamp, but they were always clean. This site is perfect for families, but would also be a great location for campers without children who don't mind the odd child cycling or scooting past.
