Overnight Stay

We have stayed at this site a couple of times before and appreciated its convenient location not far from the M1. It was a fairly last minute decision to break our journey to North Yorkshire. The facilities on the site are good and it made a change to see reception actually sold a few essentials. Interesting history of the site before camping in the information room. My only gripe was the price, a little over £38! This was the first site on an eight site tour of the North East and Scotland and it was by far the most expensive.

Lots of people are complaining about the cost of staying on club sites. Our days of using club sites are over, we will now have to use cl's.

We are at present on a 33 night tour using cl's and the cost per night works out at £19.50. The average price of club fees would work out at £1122 thats a whopping £477 saving. Incidentally 4 of those cl's have a direct water hook up facility so at the club price of £4.95 × 22 nights so a further saving of £108.90.

A saving so big that it will pay for more nights away
