Having stayed at least once almost every year since 2010 it's hard to say something new. This is one of the best sites anywhere. The great experience starts with a brilliantly friendly and helpful welcome from the hard-working wardens. The wardens are new this year and it's amazing all they have already done. In short, they are wonderful and a great credit to the club. This is a perfect site for so many things, including places to visit. During our most recent stay the wardens affixed to the toilet block wall, close to the entrance, a large noticeboard with 14 wonderful suggestions. Which in total would fill any stay. For me this is a perfect site for cycling and running from. The roads are amazingly quiet - one can cycle several miles without seeing a motor vehicle. Some routes can be quite challenging, as can the wind, but there is no need to race. The uphills reveal fantastic views. I usually (not always) start routes by cycling to Eglingham. Then turn either right towards Alnwick or left towards Chatton. And explore. But there are lovely quiet routes in all directions. Every time we stay we wish we could stay longer. And plan when we can return. I wholly recommend this site
