Overzealous petty wardens

Having just stayed at Rowan Park I would like to say this site is not suitable for children, there is no play area so the children have to play on the campsite road, knowing this my granddaughters took scooters as did other children. The children were not noisy just riding up and down normally when a warden told them off for riding the wrong way on the one way road system. This is so petty in all the years we have been members of the caravan club and been to many sites I have never come across such pettiness, one of my granddaughters is slightly autistic and this put her off going out to play for the rest of the holiday which spoilt it completely for her. Come on caravan club if your wardens are going to be so petty make this site adults only!

Site rules are quite clear that one way systems and speed limits apply to ALL, including children. I am not sure that children should play on roads anyway.

I have just returned too, our holiday was spoilt by the constant noice of scoters and small children on bikes with stabilisers. We had a 10 year old with us and we spent out evenings together. Fed up of these people that kick their kids out at 8am leaving the to go round in circles until gone 9 at night. I wish the wardens had done more. Entertain your children, you will soon moan when 1 is hit by a car

It's as if Monks 0504 and hja et al were never children themselves. Complaining about children playing on a campsite...dear me. The reviewer already stated that one of his/her children is neurodiverse and yet you expect that child to know and obey the rules about speed limits (on scooters!) and the one way system......Unruly kids?? What playing on their scooters on the campsite road? Incredible. The noise of small children on bikes with stabilisers disturbed you? Very sad.

Just because their kids they still have to abide by highway code & if the child is autistic even more reason why grandparents & parents should be outside supervising them to insure their safety as they don’t all understand danger everyone wants to enjoy their holidays & relax kids still need discipline & boundaries always a few parents grandparents that can’t be bothered & send kids out at crack of dawn to annoy everyone else until it’s gone dark so their not under their feet annoying them try paying kids attention & spending time teaching them & showing them things of interest feel sorry for the kids
