Good for families

Nice site, close to the sea.

Seacroft is a very pleasant site with easy access from the main coast road between Cromer & Sheringham. Facilities are up to the usual standards for a Club site, and kept immaculate by the team. There is a very nice Club House and bar, which serves good, if slightly expensive meals, and often has live entertainment. The site itself is slightly sloping, and not very inspiring in its layout. A few pitches are divided by hedges, but the centre area is simply grass with no trees, shrubs or flowers. A little more landscaping would benefit the site. There is an upper area with all weather super pitches, if that's what takes your fancy, but we pitched on the lower level which was fine. The site always seems very busy, and was completely full on our visit in late September. We had booked 4 nights to take advantage of its close proximity to Cromer Pier, where we had booked two consecutive evenings at the theatre on the end of the pier. If you want to be close to the beach and sea with all the facilities close by, then this site is ideal. Cromer is walkable if you have a large motorhome, and want to leave it on site, there is also a Morrisons supermarket close by. My only negative thoughts about this site are small. On our visit, one dog owner seemed to think the rule about keeping dogs on leads at all times, didn't apply to him. In our 4 night stay, his two large dogs wandered about off the lead constantly, and at no time did we see a warden pick him up on this. Why don't the wardens have a quick walk around the site every day, and sort this sort of thing out? I'm also puzzled by the pitches. Opposite us was a pitch marked with a blue peg, for no awning. It was huge! Next to it was a pitch for units with an awning, that pitch was much smaller, surely the other way round would be better, as the occupier of the "with awning" pitch has his car half on the grass due to lack of room. Overall this is a very nice site, although quite busy. The Wardens do need to enforce the dogs on leads at all times rule though, for the safety of young children, as one day there could be a nasty incident which could have been prevented.
