A great base for exploring Deeside with all the amenities on the doorstep. There is a bit of road noise but it is not a big deal. The colour at this time of year is spectacular and I recommend viewing it from Scolty Tower nearby. The Deeside way runs beside the site and offers a great, mainly traffic free cycle to both Aberdeen and Ballater.
Can't wait to go back
This is a lovely site, well kept, clean, plenty of trees and lovely views over the back. The facilities are well kept and all is welcoming.
Lovely walks to Milton of Crathes and to Crathes Castle in one direction and a gem of a walk to the town centre at Banchory via the old railway line and the river.
Looking forward to finding any excuse to go back but probably don't need an excuse!

Never disappoints
Silverbank is well located on the outskirts of Banchory. An easy walk or cycle in to town or take the bus. It's right next to the main road so there is a bit of traffic noise. Good dog walking nearby. Facilities onsite are good. Not the most modern but always clean and well maintained. Main supermarkets nearby and a Farmers market the third Saturday of the month is always good.
Cracking site
Stayed here for three nights in September - excellent site, very friendly wardens who keep the grounds, plants and facilities immaculate. The wardens were very visible, walking the site frequently with a word for everyone.
There is some noise from the main road, but didn't worry us. Great for families as long as they don't mind the 30 min walk to town for amusements etc
Town itself has great facilities and site is between Tesco and Morrisons, so spoiled for choice. Plenty choice re takeaways and restuarants. Well positioned for touring including Malt country!
One of. The Best
Just returned from this site, after 2 lovely weeks. The previous reviews all complement the two wardens and I totally agree. They always greet you with a smile and hallo. Always working on the site keeping it in tip top condition. We found the showers no problem, as one member said, just a matter of timing. They were always clean and tidy but I did notice some lazy members did not bother to squeegee the showers after they had used them.
Will return to this site again.
pity about some dod owners
The site is kept immaculate by the two wardens also very helpful. The toilets and showers are spotless. Banchory is a great town.Great fish and chip shop. Lovely walks along the river into town or along to Crathes Castle. On arrival had to pick up dogs dirt. The motor home next pitch left one as well on leaving. No fault on Wardens but inconsiderate members.
Great stop over site
Just had a one night stop over whilst touring Aberdeenshire. A good well kept site with friendly wardens. Yes the facilities are limited namely three showers for gents on a site of this size must be difficult when the site is full. However we did not have any problems getting access to all the facilities including the showers. It is a matter of timing. Well worth a visit, including visiting nearby Banchory and the lovely cycle / walking path at Potarch on the road to Aboyne and Ballater.
Immaculately maintained site
This was our second stay at this site. The grounds are immaculately maintained by the 2 friendly wardens and the facilities are spotless. My one negative is there are only 3 showers in the ladies block, considering the size of the site it could do with at least 4. As we have 2 dogs we like the fact that there is a small dog field available as well as great dog walks around the area. Would definitely recommend this site and will definitely visit again and again...
