Skeggy First Timer

Just spent three nights with Grand kids here. First impressions are that site is like a car park with back to back  parking, however, as previously stated, the pitches are large and level, though not much of an outlook. This didn't bother us as we were out all days most of the day. The site is  well served with a regular bus service into Skeggy from the bus stop 200 yds down the road after turning right out of the site. There is also a mini supermarket (Spa shop) just by the bus stop, open all days. Also opposite the shop is a fish'n'chip shop with seating area. can't comment as we didn't use it. If you turn left out  of the gate and walk fifty yds up to the sand and sea you will come to a cafe selling food and drinks, draught beer as well. Again we didn't use it so can't comment, looked clean though. the bus to town is very regular every ten minutes or so, 50/60p for kids depending on which service you use and dropping you off in the centre of town. Sadly the pleasure beach was closed, but this was expected and didn't spoil the grand kids pleasure, there is still plenty to do and places to eat, so good days were had by all, even the weather was bright and dry but with a cold wind. The object of the trip was to establish whether or not to go for a longer stay in the summer months, the overall vote was a definite yes, maybe getting a grass pitch with a sea view next time
