Stayed for a week at the beginning of September, so most of the kids had left by then. That may have contributed to the peace and quiet we experienced! Site is divided into two, hard standing on one side and grass pitches (a much greater number) on the other. The hard area did have a bit of a carpark look about it, all very open, the grass area has plenty of hedges and trees, lots of little areas, some individual pitches, some with just a few and some more open areas, but all seemed to be well laid out. The facility block, just the one, was kept spotlessly clean. Though I did wonder how busy they might get when the site is full, no issues when we were there. Loads to do and see on the island, for all tastes. The pub just up the (unpaved fairly narrow) road, The Pointer, is well worth a visit, recommend the pies! Worth booking though, as it is popular. Also, other direction, Fighting Cocks, also worth a visit. Much bigger pub and still very popular, and decent food. Overall a good site and would definitely recommend!
