One of the best

This is one of the best sites we have stayed at, exceptionally clean, well laid out, brilliant access to prom and a gorgeous park is close by.  Great access into the town and a supermarket a few minutes away.  We found the wardens very friendly and despite the shocking weather never stopped working outside to keep the site clean and tidy.  The fireworks on Saturday were spectacular, despite really bad weather we had a smashing time and have booked to go back, can't fault this site.

Stayed here for 3 nights on the new part of the site.  Well layed out and stunning toilet block.  Staff are extremely helpful, nothing too much trouble.  Will definately be back.

Great stay at Southport Caravan Site

Just had 5 nights here, lots of rain but we still enjoyed it. The wardens are friendly and helpful, toilet block warm and clean.10 mins walk into Southport with lots if shops and place's to eat. We enjoyed the Geulder Rose pub near the pier. Fireworks on Victoria Park were spectacular. We will be back, the icing on the cake would be sunny weather, but can't expect that in November.

Exceptional Site

This is probably our favourite club site. We find the Wardens friendly, the site is kept clean and the location is central to everything we wish to do in the area. All the facilities available are well documented in the club literature and nearby attractions are too numerous to list here.  We tend to travel from the north to the site and find that if you stay on  the M6 until jct 26, then take M58 route down through Formby past Tesco and RAF Base it is an easier route than coming off earlier through Leyland and the taking the rocky road by the coast. Glad to hear they are now open all year round.  One thing different to the literature is that thereally is no late arrivals area any more. However the wardens will allow you on site up till 8pm so you should be able to get pitched OK.  One thing that amazes me is the comments book where members criticise the wardens for having the toilet block closed for cleaning. If it takes longer than advertised it is probably because someone has left a mess which needs sorting out. Shock Horror if you are that desperate you could even use the facilities on your van.  Can't wait to go back soon.

Newbies.

Great site and good location. Will certainly visit again. The only thing I found wrong was the lighting on site.

Great Site

We love this site. Its great for Southport and visiting the area around. We visited Chester Zoo from here.  Its close to the beach and easy walking into Southport. Only problem we had was the speed of members driving . can't under stand when people change down gears from 1st gear. All sites are 5mph please can we stick to this nobody wants to spoil there or anybodys holiday by knocking anybody down. We pitch next to a speed bump and cars did not slow down for them. 5mph please members on all sites.

First Class Site

We have been caravanning for many years and only just discovered Southport Caravan Site.  The site is large but incredibly peaceful.  The facilities are the cleanest we have ever come across and lovely and warm in winter.  The location is perfect for being able to walk into Southport and there is a supermarket very close by.  The site is also very handy for visiting places like Liverpool.  The only downside is I purchased Wifi and then could not get a signal for the entire time I had it, so be wary of the signal strength before purchasing.  Perfect site for families, will be visiting again very soon.
