First Visit

This was our first visit to the Southport site and we loved it! The wardens are really friendly and helpful, the site is well kept and the facilities are spotless. We had been warned about the poor TV reception, but we must have been on a good pitch as we didn’t have any problems at all. There are plenty of places to visit nearby, we went to Liverpool for the day, visited Crosby to see Anthony Gormley’s Another Place and had a walk into nearby Birkdale. Walking into Southport is an easy 15 minute walk (either along Rotten Row from the rear of the site, from the main entrance, or from the far end of the site into Victoria Park) where there are lots of shops and places to eat. We had a couple of lovely meals at the Fishermen’s Rest, which is about a 5 minute walk out of the back of the site. We enjoyed it so much that we’ve already booked for next year!
