We have stayed at this site before the redevelopment and have to say that the improvements are excellent.  The toilet/showers where always clean and of high quality. Even though the site was full there was no problems with noise.  We had a none awning pitch which I must admit was small but we did manage to fit our caravan and car on. We were situated on the old part.  The New part looked nice but needs time to develop as at the moment seems rather open...the trees and plants have not yet matured. All the warden were very nice and had time to say hello. Southport itself is much improved with a facelift to the lake area. We liked it so much we have already booked another short break.
