We stayed at this site so that we could visit friends who have a seasonal pitch here - otherwise, we probably wouldn't have chosen the site and certainly not in August. The site is clean and tidy and the wardens are very friendly and helpful. All pitches are grass - some level, some uneven, some with a sea view, some easy to get onto and others rather more tricky!! There are several seasonal pitches and because of the time of year, it felt very busy and packed in - I didn't enjoy it. No toilet block (not a problem for us but you'd be amazed how many people turned up expecting there to be one) but there are washing machines. The weather can be very unpredictable being by the sea and when the wind blows - it blows! If you are putting up an awning make sure you've got additional anchorage. However, when it is clear, you cannot deny that the views are glorious. Plenty of walking from site either along the coastal path or up onto the Beacon. Lots of lovely beaches in the area but of course, if you've got dogs, many are not accessible at this time of the year. Not one of my favourite sites but I suppose it depends what you're looking for.
