We had stayed at the Riverside site in Betws-y-Coed and loved it so much there that we decided to go on to another of the Morris Leisure sites, and after choosing Stanmore Hall and were definitely not disappointed. Stanmore Hall is a lovely clean site with immaculately kept facilities.and gardens and the staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. The pitches are very generously laid out so it all feels spacious even if the site is full, and the lake is a lovely addition along with the resident ducks and peacocks. From there, it's only about a mile to either Asda or Aldi, and approximately a 10 minute walk to the bus stop, where the buses appear to run hourly between Wolverhampton and Bridgenorth. Bridgenorth itself is a town on 2 levels, well worth visiting and very popular and lively in the High Town on market days. There is a beautiful park up in the castle grounds, or down in the Low Town you can walk alongside the River Severn, and there are many places to eat or have a drink. Ironbridge is well worth a visit too, and we particularly enjoyed an almost full day there in the Victorian Town Museum at Blists Hill. We very look forward to visiting again and would highly recommend this site to anyone, whether they just want a peaceful break away from it all on a site that's almost a large attractive garden, or they'd like to explore the area and it's history.
