Lovely Parkland Setting

This site is one of the prettiest we've stayed on, set around a lovely little lake. The pitches are of a generous size but the grass ones are better placed than the hardstandings for decent views of the lake! The toilets are excellent, with loads of hot water, very clean and some of the best showers we've ever come across. The wardens were friendly enough, but certainly not up to the usual Club training in customer service. There is a small shop on site which is useful if you've forgotten anything. Only a 5 minute drive from Bridgnorth and all it offers with brilliant shops, cafes, pubs and of course, the funicular railway. Only 30 minutes drive away is the Iron Gorge museum area which is amazing (but costly). The site has a nice little play area for the kids. If you're a dog owner, though, you have only 2 small dog walking areas and because of the wildlife and the (tameish) peacocks and ducks, you're not allowed to let them run free. However, just 5 minutes out of the site is Stanmore Park, a good little wooded park with criss-crossing paths where they can run to their hearts content. Be careful on the road there though, as the locals seem to think it's a race track! All told, an excellent little site that we'll definitely use again
