Good for families

Poor quality and not vfm

Stayed one night in late July, really to visit Totnes. Location is ideal but we found on the same street a large car park with 12 motorhome locations next to the river Dart and a riverside park. The site is very crampt and the single chemical toilet emptying site is basically a hole with a wooden lid to the sewers. No motorhome waste water empty point. The showers are tired and dated. We knew in advance about no electric hook up, so why is this site so expensive? Even with the reduced vat we paid over £20 for 2 people. The aforementioned car park was only £5 for the day. Come on CAMC this isnt good enough!

Yes, you can park your van there for £6.00 for 24 hrs.    However, the South Hams District Council which operates it say quite specifically that 'overnight camping or sleeping is not permitted in any Council car park at any time'. To the best of my knowledge in Devon only Torridge District Council in North Devon have a scheme for motorhomers to stay overnight (6:00pm to 10:00am for £5.00.)
