Wardens actions/covid precautions differ immensely from other sites we have stayed in over the past two covid years. Checkin in and payment by ringing a number on arrival which was no problem but having a locked reception at all times with no shop open with essentials items. Bearing in mind this site does not have toilet facilities, toilet paper and chemicals would at least be expected. No visiting vans arranged and no information given or displayed re nearest doctor, hospital etc. We had a feeling that the female warden was locking herself away. The site we felt was immactually kept, grass and excellent hardstandings condition, but not having visual contact felt very odd given the opening up of gov restrictions at this time. For motorhomers, we welcome the selling of basics in reception and adds to the experience. We had no information even how to safely enter the adjacent country park. A very strange experience and speaking to other campers, they too felt the same. Whilst trago mills is close, for motorhomers not on bus route, no pavement to walk and busy road by cycle, so some basics in site shop would be welcome. Pitches near the road can be very noisy.
