Lovely site

Lovely welcome from helpful friendly staff. Choose our own pitch and when settled went back to book in - no rush. Beautifully kept site and facilities spotless. Quiet and peaceful and easily cycled into Sutton on Sea a short distance on quiet flat roads and then traffic free promenade. Promenade goes to Maplethorpe and Skegness if you want to go further. Beaches stretch for miles and plenty of places to eat along the way. Playground for children and nice touch small nature area to look for bugs. From the back of the site there are a choice of walking routes. Enjoyed our stay very much

Exceeded our expectations

We always YouTube the sites before booking to make sure the access is OK for us and a general look around. So we thought we knew what to expect, how wrong could we have been. The site is easily reached down a small lane with NO potholes, easy to turn into and a warm well organised welcome awaited us. The site is much nicer than the pictures on the website, the facilities are spotless, I was almost disappointed that I only used them once just to check them out, nice to see that the showers had benches in them. Don't worry about there not being a dog walk on site just go thru the gate next to the play park and fields and shady walks abound, you can go for a long or a short walk in a circle so just perfect. We were there on the weekend that the site next door had the loud music and although it was very loud and out of tune it did finish at 11pm. Its not the CAMC's fault that other site owners are so inconsiderate of other people. Sutton itself is not very big and is mostly closed on Mondays! very sleepy feel, definately on Lincolnshire time! If you just want somewhere quiet with not a lot to do then Suttons for you, if you want action packed then I would go elsewhere. We found a week enough but we did really enjoy the site.

Such a nice site

We arrived in torrential rain and the wardens fast tracked us in to try and keep us from getting too wet. It was much appreciated! The pitches are good and the facilities are so clean and really well kept. The only problem was that on one night ( Saturday I think) the private campsite next door had a really loud party. We was quite a distance from the noise but could still hear it, I feel sorry for those next to it. However this did not ruin our visit and we would definitely visit again.

Excellent site

We visited this site from 7th to 11th September 2021, and loved it. We were given a warm and friendly reception on arrival and made to feel like valuable visitors. The warden on reception noticed I had limited mobility and immediately gave me all the information on the disabled facilities (not able to comment on them though as we used our own). We had 2 dogs with us and although there is no designated dog walk on site, there is a walking path within a few mins walk of the site. The site is in a great location with the lovely little seaside resort of Sutton on Sea just 2 miles away. There is also a huge dog friendly beach a mile away. We've already booked to go again next year.

Excellent facilities

We visited this site mid August and the site is very well organised and presented. The refurbished toilet block was quite continental, very clean and warm. There are several footpaths from the site and not far from the beach. The beaches are naturally beautiful, sand dunes and grasses, very wide and deep. The cycle ride on the prom to Mablethorpe is easy and relaxing. We would visit again.

Super Site

Stayed for a single night but wished we had booked longer, super site with a great warden team, welcoming and super helpful. Site is modern, well laid out, very clean and tidy. Updated modern facilities, including dedicated motor home service point. Pitches spacious and mostly hard standing. Site close to Sutton and we took a great bike ride along the promenade. Super club site!

A real gem!

Just enjoying our last day of our stay at this gem of a site. Excellent location with good local walks including easy access to the beach. Peaceful and immaculately kept by a great team of wardens. Wish we were staying longer but will certainly come again.

lovely site, well worth the visit

i really liked this site, it was clean, well maintained and the wardens did a brilliant job of welcoming me. The site is only a mile from Sandilands / Sutton on Sea promenade, and about 4 miles from Maplethorpe, so i imagine it would be good for the younguns. For me it was the peace and quiet, for the most part. There was some road noise from tractors in the lane adjacent to the site, and some very early and very late travellers using the lane, which made it a bit noisy, but overall this didnt get annoying. The washing facilities are lovely and clean too, and clearly well looked afeter. Its quite a big site, but it didnt feel it - the layout made it feel smaller and more intimate, which i liked. All of the pitches where in a reasonable distance to the washrooms and service areas. Its also a great site for exploring the lincolnshire coastline, and also for visiting Lincoln, which was a lovely place to visit.

A few days on the Lincolnshire coast

We were slightly apprehensive about having a few days on a site near the very popular Skegness and Mablethorpe during the summer holidays but with our younger grandchildren - who live close by- now school age we took the chance and were not disappointed; the lovely rural aspect of the site and the easy walk to the lovely beach along the footpaths make for an excellent location. Lincoln is always a pleasure and lovely weather made our visit - lots to see and most within a small area - steep hill is exactly that - a bit steep but the cathedral (and the old pub) at the top are worth the effort! Louth had market day on Wednesday and the Masons Arms looked after us well for lunch but visitors were also well catered for around the town eating outside and enjoying the pleasant weather; the Antique centre took up some of the afternoon and we didn't leave empty handed. The Lincolnshire Wolds are gently rolling hills with "step back in time" villages and the beaches stretch for miles - Sutton on Sea is a lovely well positioned site for enjoying this area without the bustle of the larger resorts.
