Good for families

Potentially very good but rather spoiled by inconsiderate people

This site has the potential to be great, but a combination of a large crowd of tennis players and their many offsite guests (totalling over 40 sometimes) who held parties until well after 10pm on several evenings, many people completely and regularly ignoring the speed limit, children noisily crashing into each other and adults on their bikes, and wardens who were very keen to start cleaning the toilet blocks well before the published time, but not so keen to cut the grass, re-stock the information point, or try to encourage people to follow club rules for the benefit of everyone, rather let the site down. For these reasons it comes well down the list of CAMC sites we've visited over the years. Maybe its a better experience out of school holidays. Sutton on Sea is a small, quaint place but there is a great fish and chip shop, and Farmer Browns ice cream is superb. We also enjoyed some nice walks along the very long prom. PS Ignore the driving instructions when driving south from Sutton on Sea. There was no "international caravan site" sign that we could see. Instead, Start looking out for Crabtree Road on the right after you've passed the wonky church spire

With regards to the toilet block it is not closed until the stated time. It has been very difficult to restock the information room due to the tourism budget being slashed by the local council. We have therefore dedicated one wall of the information room to local places of interest. It is not the responsibility of the team to police behaviour on site particularly after 8p.m. However you do have our mobile number if there is a genuine emergency. We have had no significant rainfall at Sutton for some considerable time so there has been no requirement to cut the grass during this period particularly as the grass is not growing.

I am surprised at this review as we were there during the tennis tournament, and yes there were some parties and BBQs, but as for noise after 10pm, we never heard any. I must admit i agree with the speed limit not being adhered to by some drivers, but think that is an issue on a lot of sites.

Totally agree with Kev. At the end of the day everyone is on their holidays and are there to enjoy themselves!  Myself and my husband stayed for two weeks over bank holiday weekend it was very busy and vibrant but NO noise after 10pm. I also have to comment on the cleaning, this was done by the clock everyday. There’s no pleasing some folk. We loved it and will definitely go back!
