Amazing Kent site

Located down a fairly narrow road near Goudhurst, this spacious well-laid-out site is centrally placed for anyone interested in glorious ancient manors and much more. Each pitch has a drinking water tap with the hook up point - very very useful indeed. Pitches are well spaced and easily located with the help of a clear site map from reception. Superb eateries within easy distance in Goudhurst. This site is perfect for anyone wishing to visit Sissinghurst, Ightham Mote, Knowle, Scotney, and more.

Great Spacious Site

This is a great spacious site. The pitches are a good size and you are not pitched on top of one another. The site is large and well laid out. The dog walk is the best I have ever seen. With well kept mown areas around the fields. The ablutions are clean and there are plenty so no waiting for the shower/loo. The shop has plenty to choose from including a selection of frozen food and ice creams. There is a tv/games room which is really handy for those rainy days. There is plenty of space for the kids to run about and play with two play areas. The main B road leading to the site is a little narrow so be careful going round the blind bends. Happy to recommend this site and we will definitely be back.

Good level site

We stayed here in July. The weather was good but it had been wet the week before which made our grass pitch a little spongy. The site was very quiet and peaceful and never a queue at the very good shower block. The pitches are well spaced with plenty of open space around the site. There are downsides to the site, the main downside for us was the very expensive £2 a night poor wi-fi which was very hit and miss, even worse than the Caravan club wi-fi!! Also with no EE phone signal you are stuffed if you want any outside contact. I know a holiday is about getting away from the norm but sometimes you do need some contact with the outside world. The tv signal is also poor. The grass pitches were kept nice and short but they dont pick up the clippings so consequently we had grass everywhere. Our last moan, the waste water points have a little lip round so you have to lift your container to empty it, the Caravan Club has the best water points any where and should be standard on any associated site. We will be reluctant to go back untill the technology improves.

Impressive

This site is brilliant. Pretty easy to get to. The staff were helpful and polite. The facilities were clean and kept to a high standard. The site is great for walkers and those with dogs. There are a number of areas for children to play. There is also space for them to play as the site has not been greedy by over filling the space. There is also an area where children can feed some animals. The TV signal and mobile signal is poor but the site does have WiFi but this is at extra cost. The area is quite hilly to if you take bikes be prepared. People have a list of sites to return to and this is on ours. A great site the owners should be proud of and the customers should take advantage of.

Very peaceful locationwith loads of space for kids

We stayed here in April this year. We had a fully serviced pitch (what a treat!). The pitches have loads of room which is so nice when you have a family (we were on our own). Great toilet block. Only drawback is as another reviewer said is that there is no local pub within walking distance.

Just loved it.

This site is lovely, our first time there, wont be our last, fantastic dog walks, every part of the park is so well kept, even the pigs were clean!  The only thing i would say is, you are not in easy walking distance of a pub, but didnt bother us.

Best dog walking ever!

We had a great weekend here in April. The site is beautifully kept and spacious with all facilities very clean and well appointed and the staff friendly and helpful. But the real glory is the countryside. Although we only live 30 minutes away it is not a part of Kent we knew well so it was a real pleasure to do some serious walking that began and ended right on the doorstep. From the back of the site you step straight out in to a huge field and simply take your pick as to whether to go L or R. The paths are signposted to some degree but we took an OS map which was useful for when the signs gave out as so often happens! Many of the walks go through the fruit orchards and hop fields and our only regret was that we were a few weeks too early for the blossom although the primroses were stunning. It must be spectacular in May and we would definitely return next year at that time. It would be an excellent site for families and I think that unless the sound of other people's children fills you with joy the holiday periods might be best avoided.

Good site to explore west Kent

Tanner Farm Park is a spacious well maintained site. The roads around the site are all tarmacked. There are two toilet blocks both well constructed and maintained. Previous reviews have stated the blocks were warm, our experience was that they were not all that warm. As we were using a serviced pitch and our onboard facilities that was not a problem for us but had we been using the showers I think we would have found them a tad chilly at night. There are good children's play areas and several access points to footpaths directly from the site. There is a good shop on site but be aware that they do not stock bread except Half-baked which you need to heat in your oven.  All in all we had a good stay and would definitely return if in that part of Kent.

Great for peace and quiet

For rural piece and quiet, this site is ideal. It is almost true to say that it is in the middle of nowhere, which suited us very well but for those wanting a nearby pub or shop will be disappointed. The toilet block facilities are modern, superbly clean and warm. The showers are a good size, with plenty of hooks and shelves etc that are so often lacking. The reception was efficient and they helpfully take orders for newspapers. Our dog reports that the exercise facilities are the best he has seen in a long time! The only niggle is that our pitch was made from small gravel that stuck on our feet and got indoors. If you like WiFi you will have to pay, whether or not you have already signed up to the Club membership scheme!
