Lovely stopover

We booked onto Tewksbury on route to Cornwall as it is very handy for the M5. Only a short walk into Tewksbury, although close it is a peaceful site. The flowers outside the office are beautiful credit to the wardens for their hard work. The toilet block is a bit dated. But spotless and to me that is all that matters. There are some really old buildings in the town which I enjoyed looking round. There are a few pubs which you can get food if you want to. All in all a lovely site. Will certainly return again (stayed before).

A gem of a site, near the town

This is an ideal site, quite, well laid out and easy 5 mins walk into Tewkesbury, bus stop handy, good dog walks direct from site. The wardens are not only friendly, they are very helpful, my fridge door jammed and one of them came along and fixed it. ( sorry I do not know his name). The beautiful flower display at the entrance is a credit to their hard work. Everything on site kept clean, which must be a hard job for them with the out of date showers, and the wash up area that the water only trickles out of the hot tap. I hope someone passes on my thanks for the help with the fridge and lets them know that all their work is appreciated. This is a very busy site with units coming and going every day, but once you are on your pitch, it is time to relax and enjoy the site and its position.

Great Location

Spent 4 nights here recently. This site is in a wonderful location, 5 minute walk to the town centre, shops, pubs, restaurants etc. Buses go to Gloucester, Cheltenham and Worcester regularly. Wardens were very friendly and welcoming and obviously work very hard with the floral display at reception. Yes, the shower blocks are dated and not enough showers when the site is busy, but I only queued in the ladies on one morning - hubby had no problem, and they are kept very clean. We had no problem with TV reception or WIFI. We will definitely return to this site again.

Great site

Great site, helpful and friendly wardens. Visited for 2 nights as a stopover was very surprised how quite it was so close to the town centre. Lots of things to do all within walking distance. Toilet block a bit dated but very clean.

Avoid the mid twenties!

Tewkesbury is a great stop over site being close to the Motorway, it is also a good place to stay in its own right, its close to the town centre but not too close. Shops, pubs and supermarkets are all within walking distance. I do agree with the comments about the shower blocks having one close at 9.30am for cleaning makes it more of a problem when the site is full. My main comment though is that I spent 3 nights on pitch 24 which unbeknown to me when I set up backed onto a public footpath. We were woken every night by the local drunks who seemed to stop on that section of footpath and argue with each other for an hour or more. The arguments consisted of a string of foul language as well as numerous phone calls to mates where every other word began with 'F'. Do yourself a favour and if at all possible leave this corner of the site alone.

Lovely site but Wi fi problems

Stayed for couple of nights at our favourite site on way home from Devon on 4/5 July. Had a great time again and love the town which is an easy walk away. Agree with comments about showers, although we managed ok. Bit disappointed with Wi-fi as this was very slow and did not work all the time which was unusual for this site. Not sure if there was a problem but did not get round to asking the wardens. Will definitely be returning.

Shower Blocks

Coming to the end of a four night stay on this site, while the shower blocks are spotless boy are they ready for a refurbish. On this day the weather had been extremely hot I was looking forward to a nice cool or even a cold shower, I got neither because as soon as I put the settings on cold the pressure drop to a dribble, as there is only six men's showers to a 100 odd pitches the chance of getting another shower cubicle were none at that time. It's a pity because it is a lovely site, location is great. So come on caravan club get your act together and up date the shower blocks, it could be done when the site is closed. Mr R Phipps

Excellent site for a break going North

We have always enjoyed this site and found it pleasant this time round. The facilities are a bit tired but spotless and plenty of hot water. The site was extremely busy and we felt it would be a lot easier if pitches were allocated rather than having to wander around looking for a suitable pitch. We felt that the wardens weren't as helpful as they could of been, especially when we had a major problem and had to rely on the help of 2 sets of neighbours.

the site is in a good location

with having a motorhome we used the bus and had a day ticket £6:25- we went to Gloucester and Cheltenham that both are well going to also Tewksbury is worth going into if you like different types of food and worth looking into information book on site. The only down side to the site is the toilet blocks they need up grading all though they are cleaned well but out dated . The site in general is a good location for exploring the area ,lots of pubs and walks. Well worth going to Hereford and some of the little villages. One village worth going to is Kilpeck they is a good pub and excellent food to try also a local drink to try butty batch
