The general area is great for both walking and cycling, as featured on the site description. However, access from the site itself is only directly onto a busy lane with no footways and few cross-country footpaths nearby. Nowhere just to have a stroll or walk with the children or dogs without having to doge traffic. There is a small dog exercise area within the site. The site feels cramped, with few open areas for gathering with friends or for children to play. Very few pitches have any of the splendid views mentioned. Also, beware if you have an awning with a fixed groundsheet on the hardstandings. You need protection underneath the groundsheet to prevent the chippings perforating it. On the other hand, the toilets and showers are very high quality and very well maintained.
