Good for families

Lovely stay and really nice wardens.

First visit here in late September. Spoilt with warm unseasonal weather. The site is long and only one unit on each side of the road apart from a square area at the entrance and at the very end. There is a enclosure for dogs at the far end. The wardens where brilliant when we wanted to stay an extra night and also when my son decided he wanted to come for a couple of nights last minute due to some personal reasons. They went out of their way to reopen a couple of grass pitches that had dried up with the good weather enough for us to use. Thank you. There are a couple of pubs in the village, one too convenient at lightening my wallet, the other fantastic view but ale a bit pricey. I can recommend chippy at Pickering on Potter Hill. There’s an A board on the A170 before Lidl traffic lights. Really nice. Scenery is stunning around the area but not too much for younger ones in the vicinity without travelling a little. Overall we really enjoyed and talking to other owners on site particularly the ones with the same dog as our border terrier. Didn’t find road noise an issue especially being on that side in September.
