Immaculate site in a huge forest setting. Many long walks. Great for the dogs! In fact, a very 'doggy' site! We were there mid-week in school hols & NO kids! Great for us OAPs. (We love kids really ??) Very historic site as this is where the Desert Rats were pre-Normandy landing. Wardens great, nice & friendly. Tiny little shop, in fact queue outside sometimes, but has most things you might want.  Very conveniently placed facilities on site. You will need to drive to nearest shops & supermarkets. (About 7-8 miles away) Nearest pub/restaurant equally as far.  Obviously being close to Lakenheath be prepared for low flying jets & helicopters. They seem to avoid normal sleeping hours!  Overall a very enjoyable site to which we will return, probably frequently.
