Good for families

Lovely setting.

Just returned from a five night stay. Had a great pitch for the caravan on the grass….so much easier for pegging out the awning. The setting in the forest is lovely with walks galore. Being near to a main and straight road was heaven for noisy speeders, now and then. Be aware that across that road is a large Danger Area known locally as the Battle Ground. It is in fact a forces training area and we were “ treated” to war games with planes and choppers on three evenings……somewhat noisy at times, so it’s not always peace and quiet on site. Everything was well kept, mown and cared for and service points clean. Handy village store and fish and chip shop in Mundford. Highly recommend Il Salvatore restaurant in Brandon. For gardeners a visit to the water gardens at Gooderstone is well worth doing.
