This has to be one of the worst sites I've stayed on

Firstly, the positives: a very well located site very close to all the amenities Thirsk has to offer, including several supermarkets and many bars/restaurants and a petrol station. The site staff seemed to be friendly and efficient. However, it must be said that the site facilities are really poor! The toilet block is disgusting; very old fashioned, very poorly maintained and certainly not up to the standard that I would normally use. What is the Caravan Club doing being associated with such a very low standard site. I understand that the Race Course owns the caravan park, well they should start to invest some money in to improving the third class facilities. There are no hard standings and the grass pitches are becoming churned up with the recent bad weather. Furthermore, this is not a tranquil site: there is a considerable amount of road noise. I will not be returning to this site, neither could I recommend it to fellow club members.

You and I may not like it as a site but it remains popular with many

I don’t normally comment on individual reviews, but I find your comments to be very harsh, I visit this site regularly, and find the wardens to be very efficient, yes the toilets and showers are dated and in need of an update, but they are certainly NOT disgusting, and I have always found them to be clean, the site is ideally situated to visit Thirsk, and although it isn’t up to the standard of some CAMH sites, nor is the price we are charged, I would have no problem in recommending this site to anyone, and I’ll will continue to visit,

I agree with Johnfromdurham. The facilities were spotless when I visited late August 2018 and they are emphatically NOT disgusting. If ajwfox cares to look in the Club handbook he will find that many CLs with inferior facilities charge this amount. The big advantage of this site is its position so close to the town. I guess you can only comment on the noise dependent on your own experience but close to the centre of a town you cannot expect solitude. ajwfox needs to get real!

I agree with the latter comments here. Ajwfox your comments are very harsh and to be honest UNFAIR. I personally have stayed here although in some areas can be greatly improved they are certainly NOT disgusting and totally disagree with your post and may I suggest, if you can't make a reasonable negative comment DON'T post one at all !!
