We visited this site over the bank holiday weekend to watch the Tour de Yorkshire pass through Thirsk market sq. Although the weather was very wet we had a great time and the town centre atmosphere great. We visited on a race day, so had the bonus of watching some horse racing from the rally field.  The two wardens were great, moving people back on site after the racing with no dramas in the heavy rain, and dealing with people trying to leave in the mud and heavy rain on the bank holiday Monday with great professionalism. Good site, toilets very clean but a bit tired. Very handy to walk into Thirsk where there are nice shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. Tesco and Lidl within 5 minutes walk. Bit of road noise because, at the end of the day the site is next to the town, but not a problem.
